This unusual project entails the demolition of an existing barn and the construction of a two storey commercial building for rent. As the site has a rural setting the building has been designed to give the feel of a farm house. It will also be extensively landscaped in a rural area, whilst still having easy transport links. The new building is the first of 3-phases on the site and will have an array of modern built-in features including; traditional strip foundations, steel frame with MMC internal walls, timber cladding, natural knapped flint, masonry and timber clad walls, pitch slated roof and air-source heat pumps. Due to the new buildings location on the site a Klagester biodegradable waste water treatment plant was installed to handle effluent water disposal.
